A cataract surgery camp organized by the Direct Aid Society and the Minister of Health in Dakar has given 1,500 people a reason to smile. A free surgical camp for the treatment of cataracts was held in the suburbs of Dakar from the 13th to the 17th of October, in collaboration with the Minister of Health and the Kuwaiti organization (Direct Aid Society). As a result, an elite group of eye surgeons and anesthesiologists was assembled to perform free procedures in order to save people’s lives.
